Deadlines are coming up soon for applications to the Edmonds City Council and the Council-appointed Citizen Levy Committee.
Friday, June 18 is the final day to apply for the 2010 Citizen Levy Committee, which will meet at least monthly to determine the structure and timing of a 2011 levy to be presented to Edmonds voters. Committee members will be tasked to review financial statements, budget, capital acquisitions or improvements, internal reports and cash flows.
Monday, June 21 is the deadline for applying to fill the City Council seat left vacant by the resignation of Councilmember Dave Orvis last month. Interviews of candidates are scheduled for June 29, and the council will consider nominations at its July 6 council meeting.
Applications can be downloaded at the City of Edmonds website.
Real first and last names — as well as city of residence — are required for all commenters.
