Community Garden is growing – but could use a water line

Calling all plumbers willing to donate their services to a good cause: The Community Garden at Edmonds Christian Church is growing – but organizers could use some help with the watering system.

Gardeners currently rely on “watering cans from a spigot about 200 feet away,” said Betty Larman of the Floretum Garden Club.  “It would be great if we could get a water line right to the garden.”

The club would also appreciate donations of  a shed and picnic table (used items are OK).

Volunteers broke ground on the garden in April, to provide citizens without sun or space a place where they could grow their own organic vegetables and flowers. The garden will also provide fresh food for the Edmonds Food Bank.

Anyone willing to donate needed services and items can contact Larman at 425-776-3549.
