E-W’s Fellows wins state high school decathalon championship

Following a two-day competition at Lake Stevens High School, Edmonds-Woodway junior Alec Fellows claimed the 2010 state high school boys decathlon title on Saturday.

Fellows recorded personal-best marks in each of the 10 events at the 39th annual Dennis McDonald Multi Events State Championships. He finished with two-day score of 6,308 points, defeating defending 2009 champion Kale Schmidt of Stanwood High School by 203 points.
