Edmonds animal control officer elected national association president

Congratulations to City of Edmonds Animal Control Officer Debbie Dawson, who has been elected president of the National Animal Control Association (NACA).

A 24-year employee of the Edmonds Police Department, Dawson was elected May 23 during the NACA’s yearly training summit in Columbus, Ohio.

The National Animal Control Association, a widely recognized and respected world leader in the field of animal protection and care, was formed in 1978. It offers a National Training Academy for animal control officers, police officers, sheriff’s deputies and federal agents across the U.S.
