Edmonds’ Gallery North inviting artists to participate in Plein Air exhibit

Gallery North is hosting a Plein Air Edmonds Exhibition, and participating artists are invited to paint at the studio during July for free.

According to the gallery, plein air is a style of painting characterized by the representation of the luminous effects of natural light and atmosphere.  Artists who want to participate  will paint in Edmonds in organized groups during the first four weekends or independently, as they choose. The resulting paintings will be lightly juried for the Plein Air Edmonds Exhibition scheduled for August 2010. Paintings must be for sale and artists will receive 55 percent of the sale amount for any paintings sold.

If you want to participate,  complete the application form here and return it to Gallery North. The gallery will email you plein air site information and also tell you how to enter your paintings into the August 2010 show.
