One of the best events in Edmonds is the city’s 4th of July celebration, which includes separate parades for children and adults and a spectacular evening fireworks show at Civic Center playfield. But putting on such a show isn’t cheap, and the Greater Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is seeking the public’s help in offsetting the expense of the event, which draws thousands of people to Edmonds each year.
Donations can be made by calling the Chamber at 425-670-1496 or via the Edmonds Chamber website: Click the “pay now” button on the home page, then choose the “other” option in the pay online menu and specify “4th of July.” All deductions are tax-deductible through the Edmonds Chamber Foundation. (Federal Tax ID No. 27-1299773)
As the treasurer of the Chamber, I would like to point out that this is a VERY expensive day for the Chamber. We appreciate all of our very generous sponsors & donors. Many people think that the parade, fireworks & other events of the day are put on by the city with tax dollars. This cannot be farther from the truth. The Chamber has for over 100 years paid for the whole festive day.
If you would like to help us carry on this century + long tradition, please contact the Chamber office at 670-1496.
