Tuesday night’s Edmonds City Council meeting will cover some serious ground, including a decision on the process for replacing Mayor Gary Haakenson, who announced two weeks ago that he is leaving the city July 1 to take a job as Snohomish County Deputy Executive. Council members are also scheduled to discuss:
– Councilmember Michael Plunkett’s proposal to ask Edmonds voters to replace the city’s mayor-council structure with a city manager form of government.
-The 2011 city budget.
– The next steps in forming a citizens committee that would be tasked with developing a timeline and approach for a future levy.
