Recycle your flags at McDonald McGarry Insurance

If you have a tired, worn or faded U.S. flag and don’t know how to dispose of it, take it to McDonald McGarry Insurance, 630 Main St., in Edmonds between June 7-18.

In honor of Flag Day June 14, the company will collect used flags, which will be disposed of in a proper and respectful way by Boy Scout Troupe 312 in a flag retirement ceremony. In addition, the company will exchange the first 25 worn flags with a brand new flag, courtesy of MetLife Auto and Home. Please note that flags should be removed from their poles and completely dry before they are exchanged and recycled.

McDonald McGarry Insurance will be open and collecting flags from 7:30 a.m.-5 pm. Monday-Thursday and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday. Call 425-774-3200 or visit www.mcdonaldmcgarry.com for more information.
