C’est la Vie aims to save 500 children during the month of July

Edmonds-based C’est la Vie has a goal of selling 1,000 Darfur Bead Bracelets during the month of July and donating all profits to Relief International headquarters in Darfur.

It normally takes the sales of five bracelets at a cost of $14 each to save just one child from starvation in the war torn Darfur region of Sudan. However, since C’est la Vie is donating all profits from sales of Darfur Beads during the month of July, the retailer needs to sell just two bracelets to save one child.

“Think about it, you can save the life of a fellow human being for just $28 and you get two great-looking bracelets as part of the deal,” said Colleen Bowman, C’est la Vie founder and president. The bracelets are unisex and are appropriate for men, women and children, she added. “Kids wearing them can look at their wrist and know that the life of another child has been saved. That is a powerful thing to teach to a child,” Bowman said.

Darfur Bracelets can be purchased at either the Edmonds or Renton Landing C’est la Vie store locations or online at www.clvcatalog.com.
