Patriotic big band music and free popcorn!
The Edmonds Conference Center in downtown Edmonds and North Sound Church will be holding a unique Fourth of July event open to the public.
The Conference Center will be open Sunday, July 4, from 1 1a.m. to 1 p.m. to present “Edmonds Celebrates America,†a production of live big band patriotic music performed by North Sound Church’s Northwest Gospel Jazz Band and singers. North Sound Church will provide the enthusiastic entertainment and the Edmonds Conference Center will offer free popcorn to guests.
Allan Skoog, pastor of Worship Ministries at North Sound Church, noted that this musical program will also honor Edmonds Mayor, Gary Haakenson for his years of service to the community.
Though the musical performance will be taking place in the Chrysanthemum Hall, the entire center will be open to the public for use of restrooms, as a way to escape the heat (or rain), or for community members to simply explore the beautiful facility. Edmonds Conference Center staff will be on site to answer any questions you may have.
Located at 201 Fourth Avenue North, the Edmonds Conference Center will welcome visitors for the duration of the Edmonds Fourth of July Parade. Guests are encouraged to stop in at any time to join in the festivities, or to make a quick run to the restroom.
