Edmonds Police Blotter

The most common crime appearing in recent Edmonds police reports? The car prowl. But buying things without paying for them — from beer to gas to a restaurant meal — were frequently seen as well. Here are some highlights:

July 20, 900 block Main Street: A woman reported her vehicle was forcibly entered and items stolen.

July 19
21600 block Highway 99: A suspect was stopped for erratic driving and was arrested for DUI.

900 block Main Street: A car prowl was reported.

July 18, 17900 75th Place: Victim reports that vehicle’s rear window was broken out by a large rock that was thrown through it while the car was parked overnight in the driveway.

July 16
76th Avenue West and Lake Ballinger Way: A man pumped gas into his vehicle and left without paying. Police located him and found he was driving under the influence. He was booked for theft and DUI.

18503 73rd Avenue West: A bicycle was stolen from the victim’s carport.

18600 84th Avenue West: Sunglasses and an owner’s manual were stolen out of a car while parked in the victim’s driveway overnight.

July 15
8500 Bowdoin Way: A back window was broken out of a vehicle.

21600 76th Avenue West: Golf clubs were stolen from the trunk of a car while it was parked at Stevens Hospital.

July 14, 23600 Highway 99: A case of Coors beer was stolen from Safeway by an unknown suspect.

July 13, 1000 block of Alder Street: A cat was killed by a BB gun. No suspects.

July 11, 8400 block 244th Street Southwest: Three males ate a meal and left the restaurant without paying the bill.
