Stephanie Wright, vice president of the Lynnwood City Council and a candidate for the 3rd District Snohomish County Council seat being vacated by new Edmonds Mayor Mike Cooper, contacted My Edmonds News Friday to share additional information about her campaign.
Wright noted that she has a Facebook page, here, and that her candidacy for the County Council appointment has received the endorsement of Paull Shin as well as County Executive Aaron Reardon, Deputy Executive Gary Haakenson, County Councilman Brian Sullivan, State Representatives John McCoy and Hans Dunshee, and State Senator Steve Hobbs, “in addition to many local city council members.”
You can also read a profile of Wright on the Lynnwood Today site.
Edmonds City Councilmember D.J. Wilson, who is also a candidate for the position, said he will be sharing his list of endorsements next week, but meanwhile his campaign is focusing on his accomplishments, including his work founding the Lake Ballinger Forum, co-founding the Anti-Brightwater Sewer Plant Coalition, and serving as a member of SNO-COM board of directors and the Stevens Hospital Stakeholder Advisory Committee and as past president of the Public Education Foundation, plus his service as a former Edmonds City Council president and on various city committees.
