Now showing: It’s the Edmonds International Film Festival Oct. 20-24

As reported in MyEdmondsNews.com Tuesday night, the Edmonds International Film Festival is coming to town the week of Oct., 20-24, and organizers are looking for volunteers to help with this premiere event.

Film festival co-founder and director Trevor Greenfield, who spoke before the Edmonds City Council Tuesday, encourages Edmonds residents to visit edmondsfilmfestival.com, where you can sign up for volunteer opportunities and to be added to the event’s email list.

The preliminary schedule of events includes:

Oct. 20: 6-8 p.m. kickoff party featuring food and beverages, entertainment, filmmakers and more.

Oct. 21: Screenwriters’ workshop, pre-movie activities, Third Thursday Art Walk, film screenings and Q&A with filmmakers and stars.

Oct. 22: Filmmaking workshop and more pre-movie activities and film screenings.

Oct. 23: Panel discussions by filmmakers and stars, plus more screenings.

Oct. 24: VIP film awards brunch – recognizing the festival’s best of the best.
