The registration deadline for the Great Edmonds Adventure is coming soon — July 31 — so sign up now if you want to participate in this “Amazing Race”-style competition scheduled for Aug. 21 in Edmonds. All proceeds benefit the Sno-King Youth Club.
The Great Edmonds Adventure will involves teams of two working to solve clues in downtown Edmonds. “Each team will be responsible for solving clues to get to each task,” the event registration page notes, and “Each task must be completed and officially checked off to get the next clue.” There will be approximately 15 tasks to complete.
Cost to register is $40 per person or $80 per team. Each team must have one member 18 years old or older, and the second member can be as young as 10. There is also a Family Team category for $100, which allows four members (one member of the family team must be at least 18).
After registration, participants will start receiving periodic emails about the race day, including sample clues and helpful hints. In addition, competitors are encouraged to “start practicing your brain teasers, anagrams, word searches, cryptograms and crosswords.
