Ballyhoo Theatre, the summer performance company of the award-winning Edmonds Heights K-12 school, announces its performance of “Urinetown,” a musical-comedy satire by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis, this Saturday and Sunday at the school, located on the former Woodway High School site at 23200 100th Ave. W.

“Urinetown” has played to critical and popular success for a decade. An earnest fable of love, greed and revolution set in a town plagued by drought, the plot is complete with villain, hero and romance. A malevolent corporation controls the town’s public amenities; the president’s daughter falls for the leader of the “go-for-free” rebellion.

Directed by Shileah Corey, “Urinetown” involves a cast of 38 talented actors, ages 13-19. Performances will be Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
