Appreciation for your levy support

Voters throughout the Edmonds School District were asked on the Primary Election ballot to provide additional funding to support the 20,000 students attending our 33 schools and programs. Despite knowing how much the dollars are needed to maintain and prevent further, dramatic reductions to our classrooms, it was not an easy question to pose at this time.

Yet, during one of our country’s worst economic downturns in decades, a majority of voters elected to vote yes and further support all our students and their learning needs.

Serving the communities of Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace and Woodway, the Edmonds School District has a strong impact on south Snohomish County’s economy, housing values and employment of many families. We know that not all communities were willing to provide additional support to their schools, so we thank you for your extraordinary commitment to the students and educators of the Edmonds School District

Our students’ success – with your continued support – is your success as well. Together, we are moving through this difficult time together and we would like to offer our sincerest appreciation.

  1. As a parent of two school-age children, I can attest to the absolute commitment of the teachers, staff, and the volunteer parents at my childrens’ schools. These are not times of plenty, to be sure. But, ensuring that our children are provided a proper education is absolutely fundamental to sustaining our community. Keep up the good work, Edmonds Schools!

  2. As a taxpayer, I hope that the Edmonds Schools can translate dollars into quality education for all the students in the system. The funding has been supplied, hopefully the teachers will have enough resources to do what they do best!
