Sand sculpting contest hits the beach in Edmonds Tuesday

Marina Beach is the place to be Tuesday, Aug. 10 when the City of Edmonds Parks and Recreation hosts a sand sculpting contest.

Open to all ages, this fun, free amateur contest runs from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and contestants are encouraged to form a team or build on their own.

Bring your buckets and shovels, sign up at Marina Beach at 10 a.m. and start building. Judging is at noon, with Golden Bucket Awards at 12:30 p.m., sponsored by Nama’s Candy Store.
