New fall fitness and art classes through Edmonds Parks & Recreation

Looking for ways to get fit or expand your creativity this fall? Check out these new classes being offered through the Edmonds Parks & Recreation Department:

New Mommy & Baby Movement/Music Class
NURTURING PATHWAYS® CREATIVE MOVEMENT
Enrich your baby’s development – stimulate motor, music and language skills moving together. For babies 2 months and older.  Thursdays mornings from 10-10:45 a.m. or 11-11:45 a.m. starting Sept. 16, six-week class.  Cost $72 plus $35 supply fee.

New Adult Art Class
UKRAINIAN EGG DECORATING – PYSANKY
Learn an art form with over 7,000 years of history. Create a beautiful Pysanky or Ukrainian egg using a wax-resist method. The colors and designs used are symbolic – like writing a letter. Create at least one Pysanky. Class is offered Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6:15-9:15 p.m. or Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost $25 plus $10 supply fee.

New Adult Fitness Class
WOMEN’S WALKING, WEIGHTS AND YOGA
Burn calories, boost metabolism and maximize results! Meet at the Frances Anderson Center for a great walk (50-minute brisk pace around Edmonds), then back to the FAC for weights and yoga stretching. Designed for women who are fit and focused on results. Wednesdays, 9:30-11 a.m. starting Sept. 15. Monthly classes cost $27-36 depends on number of classes. Drop-in is $11.
