Sunday is the day for the Edmonds Classic Car Show, sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, in downtown Edmonds.
Anyone with a classic car — defined as a 1980 model or older — is invited to exhibit at the event, which runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and draws between 300-400 vehicles each year that are displayed in downtown Edmonds. The entry fee is $20 the day of the show. Awards will be given in various categories, including Best of Show, which features a leather jacket with the car show logo.
In addition, attendees can visit a Now and Then Display, with classic cars side-by-side with 2010 models (think Volkswagen Beetle or Ford Mustang).
New this year is a treat sure to delight the young and young at heart: Free cartoons will be shown at the Edmonds Theater from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
For those who come to the show with an appetite, the North Sound Community Church at 404 Bell St. is offering a free pancake breakfast from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and several restaurants will feature outdoor dining throughout the day.
For a registration form or to learn more, visit the Chamber website.
Why did they cancel the Beer Garden they used to have with the car show? Allot of people were disappointed.
Hi Shelley – It came down to cost. If we can find a generous sponsor to cover all the WA mandated security issues, we may bring it back.
