Edmonds-area fire calls, week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 342 calls the week of Aug. 26-Sept. 1: 266 emergency medical aid calls, 26 motor vehicle collisions, 17 fires, eight service calls, 24 automatic fire alarms and one natural gas leak. The following calls were in the Edmonds area.

Aug. 27
COLLISION. At 5:24 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a collision in the 16500 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.

COLLISION. At 6:05 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Stevens Hospital after responding to a collision at 214th Street Southwest and 44th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace.

FATAL CAR-PEDESTRIAN COLLISION. At 9:29 p.m., firefighters responded to the 13600 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood for a report of a woman struck by a pickup truck that went off the road. The woman died at the scene.

Aug. 28

COLLISION. At 6:19 a.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision on southbound I-5 south of 220th Street Southwest. One car rolled and came to rest on the right shoulder of the freeway. Firefighters transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.

Aug. 31
COLLISION. At 3:53 p.m., firefighters responded to a head-on collision at 48th Street Southwest and 212th Street Southwest in Mountlake Terrace. Medics transported one patient to Stevens Hospital.
