Edmonds police still uncovering facts of clothing-optional accident

A 25-year-old man who backed into a pole at an Edmonds auto dealership Wednesday afternoon apparently forgot something important when he left home — his clothes.

Edmonds police responded to a report from the Highway 99 dealership that a naked man was roaming the premises.  Upon arrival, officers located a passenger car where it had come to rest after being backed into a support pole outside the  building. Police contacted the man as he sat inside the running automobile, still without clothing.

According to police, little damage was done to the building or the automobile, and no other individuals were involved in the collision.  The man was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, and the police investigation is continuing.
