Missing Edmonds girl found living with 19-year-old man in Mukilteo

Edmonds police are now reporting that Jennifer Lynn Blackstock, the 17-year-old girl reported missing Wednesday, was actually living with a 19-year-old man in a Mukilteo motel.

The girl had not been seen or heard from since Thursday, Aug. 26, and the family told police she left home without permission.

In a news release issued Thursday, police said they learned Wednesday that Blackstock was at the Mukilteo motel. “Edmonds officers responded to the motel, where they contacted the 19-year old man,” the release said.  “Unfortunately, it appears that Jennifer Blackstock observed the officers’ approach and fled from them before she could be contacted.  However, police now believe that Jennifer is simply on the run from home, not the victim of foul play.”

The girl remains the subject of a police investigation as a juvenile runaway, while criminal charges are pending against the 19-year old man, police said.

She remains the subject of an Edmonds Police investigation as a juvenile runaway.

  1. THE FAMILY FEELS SHE DIDNOT KNOW THIS 19 YR OLD WHO JUST GOT OUT OF JAIL . WE BELIEVE HE TALKED HER INTO GOING WITH HIM. NOT ONE REPORTER HAS TALKED TO THE FAMILY! SHE HAS EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION DISORDER. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GOOGLE IT.

  2. Well maybe the family should contact the papers if they want there side heard- cheez not liek the first 17 yr old to go against her parents

  3. Not long ago, a 17 year old and a 19 year old would seem like a match made in heaven. The boy will probably end up a sex offender. The problem is that we have evolved socially faster than we have evolved physically. This has got to change.

  4. While visiting the Mukilteo waterfront today, I was suprised to see photo copies announcing a missing teenager. I had not heard of this case in my community prior to today. While enjoying lunch with my husband, I could not help but wonder why a girl went missing in MY community and we were unaware. I went out side the establishment and took a better look at the hand-made copies and felt saddened they were only posted with scotch tape..I went in the pub @ 621 Front St. and asked if they atleast had some page protecters and push pins so the missing girl’s info can survive the coming rain…pages starting to curl, tape not holding. I scrounged 2 page protecters and 9 tacks..I pray Jennifer makes it home safe and her family gets the message out there as loud and as fast as possible. This is urgent, not like a missing pet, she is a human being plus she has disabilaties!!!
