Volunteers gathered at the Lynnwood Albertsons store stock room Thursday to participate in the Edmonds Community Foundation’s “Bottomless Backpack Food for Youth” Pack and Stack event, benefiting hungry families in the Edmonds School District.
The group managed to create 450 food packs in roughly one hour. The packs filled with nutritious food are given to students on Fridays, and the empty backpacks are brought back to school on Mondays.
