Edmonds-area fire calls: Oct. 21-27

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 352 calls the week of Oct. 21-27: 289 emergency medical aid calls, 15 fires, 28 motor vehicle collisions, seven service calls, 11 automatic fire alarms and two carbon monoxide alarms. The following calls took place in or near Edmonds:

Oct. 21
COLLISION. At 9:32 a.m., firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision on the ramp from 164th St. SW to southbound I-5.

COLLISION. At 2:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a one-car rollover collision in Edmonds. The car hit a power pole at 9th Avenue North and Dayton, then rolled down 9th Avenue North before coming to rest upside down in the middle of the intersection of 9th Avenue North and Main Street. Firefighters had to cut through the wreckage of the car to free the driver, a woman in her 50s. Medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center. Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Oct. 25
COLLISION. At 8:26 p.m., a car went off the road and through a fence, coming to rest on a ledge at 228th Street Southwest and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.

Oct.  26
COLLISION. At 1:15 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a two-car collision at 172nd Street Southwest and Alderwood Mall Boulevard.

COLLISION. At 7:26 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision in the 15800 block of Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.
