Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 354 calls the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6: 282 emergency medical aid calls, 18 fires, 26 motor vehicle collisions, eight service calls, 13 automatic fire alarms, five natural gas leaks, one hazardous materials response and one carbon monoxide alarm. The following calls took place in or near Edmonds:
Sept. 30
BRUSH FIRE. At 4:54 a.m., firefighters responded to a brush fire in the 20900 block of 17th Place West east of Lynnwood.
Oct. 2
COLLISION. At 3:05 p.m., a car crashed into a garage in the 200 block of 176th Place Southwest east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported the driver to Swedish/Edmonds.
COLLISION. At 5 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided at 5th Avenue South and Pine Street in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the motorcyclist to Swedish/Edmonds.
Oct. 3
COLLISION. At 2:42 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at 153rd Street Southwest and Ash Way north of Lynnwood.
Oct. 4
COLLISION. At 7:01 a.m., firefighters responded to a truck that went through a fence and down an embankment, coming to rest in the yard of a home at 207th Place Southwest and 80th Avenue West in Edmonds. No one was injured.
COLLISION. At 12:31 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Northwest Hospital after responding to a two-car collision on northbound I-5 south of 44th Avenue West.
CAR FIRE. At 4:49 p.m., firefighters responded to a car fire in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 8400 block of 244th Street Southwest in Edmonds.
Oct. 5
COLLISION. At 10:20 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at Larch Way and Poplar Way north of Brier.
