Looking for a fun, safe environment for your trick-or-treaters this Halloween? Look no further than downtown Edmonds, where local merchants will be providing treats along Main Street and Fifth Avenues during the 6th annual Halloween Extravaganza sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31.
Streets will be blocked off for children’s safety, simplifying travel between stores. And the event will feature a new twist this year: Green Halloween Edmonds will be hosting a booth offering a variety of healthy treats and fun activities, including a recycle toss with prizes provided by My Edmonds News. Green Halloween is a Puget Sound-based national movement to make Halloween more healthy for children and more sustainable for the planet.
In addition, kids are invited to visit the Edmonds Boys & Girls Club on Halloween Night from 5-7 p.m. The club, located at 310 6th Ave. N., will feature a witch telling her favorite stories, face painting, dancing, crafts, games and activities and prizes. And from 7-10 p.m., the Boys & Girls Club will sponsor Teen Night.
And once Halloween is over, Edmonds dentist Michael Hrankowski and the staff at Edmonds Woodway Dental Care will be offering their annual Halloween Candy Buy-Back program to local children. This year’s price is $1.00 per pound! Candy Buy-Back dates and times are from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 1 – 3 and Nov. 8-10. Edmonds Woodway Dental Care is located at 21810 76th Ave. W., Ste 102.
