Help College Place Middle win $50K for Women of Wisdom program

The Women of Wisdom program at College Place Middle School is in the running to receive $50,000 that will help young women be successful in school and life.  WOW is a program that provides middle school girls the support, training, and opportunities to strengthen the skills they need to be successful.

Clorox’s “Power a Bright Future” online contest allows the public to vote for the school program they see as most deserving.  Visitors to the website may vote daily through the end of the contest on Nov. 1.

Due to recent budget challenges in the Edmonds School District, this successful program is now struggling just as it has expanded from the original high school setting into the middle school. The grant application from CPM is seeking funds to support the cost of a part-time coordinator and to cover the minimal expenses for volunteer recruiting efforts in the hopes of maintaining the existence of the WOW program.

You can learn more about WOW and vote by visiting the “Power a Bright Future” website.
