It took two overtime periods, but the Mavericks came away with a 4-3 victory over Ferndale on the Golden Eagles’ home field Saturday.
Maddi Null scored the game-winning goal in the loser-out 3A District 1 playoff game. Other scorers for Meadowdale included Marcail McDonald and freshman forward Emily Critchlow, who had two goals.
Meadowdale will play in the 3A District 1 semifinal on Monday.

The Warriors saw their season come to an end, losing 3-0 in a loser-out game on the Panthers’ home field.
