Report from Monday’s Edmonds Port Commission meeting

The Port Commission of the Port of Edmonds held a regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Oct. 11, and took the following action:

•  Authorized entering into a contract for renovation of portions of M and N docks, which have levels of deterioration that raise safety concerns.

•  Adjourned to a workshop session to discuss elements of the 2011 budget, including moorage rates, dry storage rates, other marina operatings rates and the 2011 capital budget.

•  Reconvened to the first of three scheduled public hearings on the draft 2011 operating and capital budget.

The next Port Commission meeting will be at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 25, in the Port Commission meeting room. Scheduled agenda items include further discussion of the 2011 draft operating and capital budgets, the second of three public hearings on the 2011 budgets, and presentation of 2010 third quarter operational and financial reports.
