Warriors hand Mavericks first boys tennis loss of season in 5-2 win

Meadowdale won at No. 1 singles and doubles, but a deep Edmonds-Woodway boys tennis team took all other matches as the Warriors gave  the Mavericks their first lost of the season in a cross-town match at Edmonds-Woodway High School Monday. The Warriors are now 12-1, having lost only to Jackson, while Meadowdale is 11-1.

Singles: Alex Casper (M) d. Youngha Kim 6-1, 6-3; Younghan Kim (E-W) d. Brian Nguyen 6-2, 6-1; Brandon Bulaclac (E-W) d. Nicholas Ekern 6-1, 6-0; Louis Phan (E-W) d. Evan DeVries 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

Doubles: Scott Bohmke and Grant Lovell (M) d. Ian Southcote-Want and Dylan Merrill 6-1, 6-4; Matt Thornton and Lincoln Sea (E-W) d. Cameron Hathaway and Andrew Fijalka 7-6 (7-4), 6-0; Jason Major and Drew Corwin (E-W) d. Hayden Sherril and Pierce Pronovost 6-4, 6-3.
