The Meadowdale High School volleyball team dropped its first match of the state 3A volleyball tournament Friday afternoon, losing to Kennewick 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.
The Lady Mavericks now will face Timberline of Lacey in a loser-out contest at 9 a.m. Saturday. Timberline lost to Mount Si, 25-13, 25-10, 27-25. All 3A and 4A state matches are being played at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.
