Starting Monday, Bartell Drugs is once again partnering with the Salvation Army to help bring holiday cheer to
children in need by collecting new, unwrapped toys during its 7th annual Salvation Army “Toy ‘N’ Joy Giving Tree” drive. The Edmonds Bartells is located at 23028 100th Ave. W.
The drive runs through Dec. 17. Toys collected will be distributed to low-income children and youth the week before Christmas through the Salvation Army’s “toy warehouses.” Over 4,100 children in need in the Puget Sound area benefited from this program in 2009.
A number of donation options are available at all 59 Bartell stores in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties, including:
-Choose a “gift request tag” from the “Toy ‘N’ Joy Giving Tree” in the store and return the gift to the donation barrel with the tag affixed to it.
– Donate new, unwrapped gifts appropriate for children up to 17 years of age.
– Make a monetary donation towards the purchase of a gift.
