Student art projects in Edmonds School District schools often benefit from the financial support of a Visual Arts Idea Grant from Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation. Here is a list of projects for Edmonds for 2010:
– Clay Projects for Maplewood K-8 and Edmonds Elementary
– A Mike O’Day Mural for Maplewood K-8
– Mosaic Stepping Stones and Wire Sculpture for Westgate Elementary
– Photography equipment with related projects for Meadowdale High
– Mosaic designs and a SAM Trip for Meadowdale High
– Visiting Artists Sam Scott, Kerstin Graudins and Ryan Finnerty for Meadowdale High
– An Evening with the Arts for Edmonds-Woodway High
A major mission of the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation continues to be visual arts education in our community. The Visual Arts Idea Grant program has been providing support for visual arts curriculum in K-12 schools since 1994. For more information, visit eaffoundation.org. Congratulations to the schools for receiving these grants.
