Meadowdale girls soccer team state-bound

The Meadowdale High School’s girls soccer team earned a berth to the state 3A soccer tournament Thursday by defeating Shorewood 3-1 at Everett Memorial Stadium. It was the second consecutive district championship for the Mavericks.

Marcail McDonald scored on a Maddi Null assist in the 33rd minute, Emily Crichlow made it 2-0 in the 47th minute on a McDonald pass, and Alisa Sagdahl added the final goal on a Hannah Shouse pass in the 68th minute.

Brianna Eney and Julia Grossenbacher were in the goal for Meadowdale.
