My Edmonds News is seeking donations of gift cards, toiletries and other needed items for Seattle’s Fisher House, which provides a home away from home for families of veterans receiving treatment at the VA Hospital in Seattle. Thanks to Judy Salinas of Glazed & Amazed, a My Edmonds News sponsor, for donating a bag full of travel-size toiletries for Fisher House, which is one of our holiday charities this year.
We will be taking holiday meals – donated by the Edmonds PCC Natural Markets – to Fisher House families on Christmas Day, and are accepting the following items that the house director says they could use for the holidays and beyond:
-Grocery store gift cards
-Long distance calling cards
-Ground coffee
-Paper towels and bath tissue
-Liquid detergent (prefer Tide) for HE washers
-Zout stain remover
-Liquid fabric softener and bleach
-Scrapbooking supplies (paper, stickers, labels)
If you can help, please email teresa@myedmondsnews.com to arrange for pick up.
