Congratulations to Edmonds-Woodway High School’s Alec Fellows, who has verbally committed to compete for the University of Oregon in track and field next year, focusing on the decathalon, according to E-W Track and Field Coach Rick Fillman.
Last summer, Fellows won the Washington State Decathalon Championship in June, then in July won the Junior Olympic Regional Championships and placed second at the Junior Olympic National Championships. The E-W senior has also earned many medals during his high school career, including the following state 4A state track and field honors:
– Freshman year, 6th in the high jump.
– Sophomore year, 3rd in the 110 meter hurdles, 8th in the long jump and 6th in the triple jump.
– Junior year, 4th in the 100 meter hurdles, 5th in the long jump and 4th in the triple jump.
