Edmonds-area fire calls, Nov. 25-Dec. 1

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 407 calls the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1: 287 emergency medical aid calls, 22 fires, 14 motor vehicle collisions, 33 service calls, 48 automatic fire alarms, one hazardous materials response and two natural gas leaks. The following calls took place in or near Edmonds:

November 25

BURST WATER PIPES. Firefighters responded to more than 30 calls for problems related to water pipes that burst due to freezing temperatures.

TRUCK FIRE. At 1:04 a.m., firefighters responded to a semi-truck on fire on northbound I-5 north of 220th Street Southwest.

HOUSE FIRE. At 10:14 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire that destroyed an abandoned house in the 15500 block of 48th Ave. W north of Lynnwood. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the fire as arson.

 November 27

COLLISION. At 9:36 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a car that crashed into a pole at Beverly Park-Edmonds Road and Lincoln Way north of Lynnwood.

COLLISION. At 6:13 p.m., firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision in the 22900 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds.

November 28

COLLISION. At 9:03 a.m., a car rolled and came to rest on its roof in a ditch alongside the northbound lanes of I-5 south of 196th Street Southwest. Firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.

November 29

COLLISION. At 2:57 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at 40th Avenue West and Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.

November 30

COLLISION. At 10:12 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a collision involving a two cars and a pickup truck on southbound I-5 north of I-405.

COLLISION. At 2:09 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at 244th Street Southwest and 54th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace.

 COLLISION. At 9:24 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a collision in the 3900 block of 214th Street Southwest  in Mountlake Terrace.
