Here’s a reminder for Woofstock 2010, the annual open house at Edmonds-based Smiley Dog on Saturday, Dec. 4 from noon-4 p.m.
More than 22 vendors will provide pet food samples, freebies and information at Smiley Dog, Edmonds’ own pet food delivery service, locate at 23303 Highway 99 in Edmonds. According to Smiley Dog founder Craig Weindling, Woofstock gives pets a chance to taste new natural and healthy foods from numerous vendors while their owners learn about the ingredients and benefits. The event offers free nail clippings from Cascade Pet Hospital and mini massages from Hands to Paws, plus pet photos with Santa from Magic Photo, spins on the prize wheel and munchies. And 5 percent of all purchases made at Woofstock will be donated to three pet-friendly causes: Old Dog Haven, Just Frogs, Toads Too Amphibian Center and PAWS.
Admission is free. Participating local companies including The Dining Dog, LifeLine Pet Nutrition, WildSide Salmon, DERMagic, Methow Dog, NW Naturals, Positive Dog Training, The Plaid Alpaca, Tiny Growl, and The Whole Pup.
