Port of Edmonds report for Monday

The Port Commission of the Port of Edmonds held a regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13.  At the meeting,  the Commission:

– Accepted a presentation on a Harbor Square view corridor impact study from a team of graduate students in the University of Washington construction management program.

– Heard a report from Stephen Clifton, Edmonds’ Community Service and Economic Development Director, focusing on the city’s economic development planning process.

– Elected Commission officers for 2011. Commissioner Jim Orvis will be president, Commissioner Bruce Faires vice president and Commissioner Marianne Zagorski secretary. Their terms begin on January 1, 2011.

-Reviewed and adopted the 2011 Commission meeting schedule. With occasional holiday exceptions, meetings will continue to be at 7 p.m. on the second and last Mondays of each month.
