Clothes For Kids sponsoring Transforming Lives breakfast Feb. 10

Clothes For Kids, which has been providing clothes for low-income children in Edmonds public schools since 1984, is hosting its first-ever Transforming Lives Breakfast, on Thursday, Feb. 10 at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The breakfast starts at 7 a.m. and will feature Nina Hajian from 106.1 KISS FM. Admission is free but a minimum donation request of $100 will be made during the event.

Clothes for Kids serves children in preschool through 12th grade and provides, at no cost for families, both fall and spring wardrobes, including underwear, socks, and shoes, in a retail store environment. During the last school year, Clothes for Kids supplied 5,200 wardrobes.

What makes Clothes For Kids unique is the storefront atmosphere that allows parents to shop with their children and pick out unique clothing that they can feel comfortable wearing to school. The only thing missing is a cash register. Families are qualified at their children’s school and come to Clothes For Kids with a referral. If they are on Free or Reduced Lunch, they automatically qualify.

Clothes for Kids is also looking for businesses willing to sponsor the breakfast. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, contact Joy Ingram, development director, at 425-741-6500 or jingram@clothesforkids.org
