Michael Burdett, Edmonds financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, is hosting his annual Women’s Leadership Conference Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Edmonds Conference Center, 4th and Bell, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
The theme for this year’s conference — aimed at providing a way for local women to network and share life experiences — is Inspire/Motivate/Educate.
The conference features a complimentary breakfast and the first 30 to RSVP will receive a copy of the bestseller, “CRAVE Seattle: The Urban Girl’s Manifesto.” This year’s group of speakers includes :

Cherie Calbom, entrepreneur and nationally known author : “Juicing and Living Foods for Vibrant Health and Success”
Carolyn Douglas, Emmy Award-winning news anchor, owner of Carolyn Douglas Communications, and business partner Dana Nunnelly, international marketing expert who worked for industry giants Microsoft and REI: “Broadcast Your Story!”
Carol Schillios, owner, Fabric of Life : “Be Inspired to Achieve”
Nicole Donnelly, Owner, SaltyWaffle: “Coping with Technology”

Burdett said he hosts this annual conference because his family has lived in Edmonds for more than 70 years, and his grandmother owned one of the first restaurants on Main Street in the mid-1940s. ‘There are so many incredible women business owners, teachers, entrepreneurs, politicians and homemakers in this community,” Burdett said. “My passion in life is helping others. If we can motivate, inspire, educate local women at this conference it will be a great success.”
Space is limited to 75, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early as the first speaker will begin at 9:15 a.m. Parking is available on the street and behind the conference center.
