If you want to learn how to save money by saving home energy costs, you have through Monday, Jan. 31, to sign up for a home energy inspection for Edmonds and Lynnwood residents through SustainableWorks.
You’re a good candidate for this inspection if:
– You own or rent a home that is a stand-alone structure, or duplex-like structure
– Your home was built before 1990
– You haven’t already had your home checked for air leaks and upgraded the insulation (attic insulation up to R-38 per code, for example).
Sign up online at the SustainableWorks website, or by call 877-975-2252. Once you’ve signed up, SustainableWorks auditors will inspect your home to determine where you can save energy and money. Because SustainableWorks receives federal stimulus funds and utility support, your audit will cost $95 (fully refundable if they don’t recommend any improvements) and includes installation of CFL light bulbs, shower heads and faucet aerators.
