The Edmonds Bookshop and Arista Wine Cellars have joined forces and are welcoming Seattle restaurateur Peter Lewis to Edmonds to celebrate his first novel, “Dead in the Dregs,” this Saturday, Jan. 29, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at Arista, located at 320 5th Ave. S. But you better move fast: Arista reported on Facebook Monday night that there are just six spots left for this event.
“Dead in the Dregs” is a mystery set in a world Lewis knows well: the wine country of both Napa Valley, California and Burgundy, France. Sip on selected wine from California and France while Lewis reads about the exploits of his character, Babe Stern, as Babe tries to uncover the secrets behind the murder of a well-known wine critic. Following the reading, Lewis will be available to autograph his book.
Tickets are available at Arista Wine Cellars and the Edmonds Bookshop, 111 Fifth Ave. S. Admission is $10 per person, which includes a $5 voucher that can be used toward purchase of the book or the wines tasted at the event. Space is limited, so purchase your tickets early.
