Edmonds City Councilmember D.J. Wilson is hosting the second of two Town Hall meetings on the city’s financial future, starting at 6 p.m. this Thursday in the Brackett meeting room, third floor of City Hall, 121 5th Ave. N.
He is also asking Edmonds residents to fill out a 7-question survey aimed at gauging citizens’ opinions on a range of financial choices, including whether they would support a levy or a regionalized fire service involving several jurisdictions. Wilson said he will release the survey results at the meeting.
In addition, the councilmember promises to share with town hall attendees actual numbers on some of the choices facing the city, including what a levy would look like in terms of size and scope and what effect further regionalization of fire services would have on taxes.
DJ, thanks for hosting these sessions It gives us a chance to learn, evaluate and decide on some really tough issues.
