Edmonds-area fire calls, week of Feb. 3-9

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 299 calls the week of Feb. 3-9:  243 emergency medical aid calls, 21 motor vehicle collisions, 10 fires, 17 automatic fire alarms, seven service calls and one natural gas leak. The following calls were in or near Edmonds:
 
Feb. 3
PEDSTRIAN HIT BY CAR. At 1:10 p.m., a man in his 70s was hit by a car at 7th Avenue North and Caspers Street in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the man to Swedish/Edmonds.
 
COLLISION. At 6:46 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two car collision on northbound I-5 north of 236th Street Southwest.
 
Feb. 5
HOUSE FIRE. At 12:55 p.m., firefighters responded to a small fire at a house in the 800 block of Main Street in Edmonds. The residents and their pets safely exited the house and there were no injuries. Firefighters quickly extinguished a small fire in a bedroom. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
 
Feb. 9
COLLISION. At 7:31 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a four-car collision on the 128th Street Southwest on-ramp to southbound I-5.
 
COLLISION. At 7:53 a.m., one car hit a power pole and went about 20 feet down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof near the intersection of 28th Avenue West and Larch Way north of Brier. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds.
