Edmonds City Council interviews law firms; public can comment Feb. 8

Edmonds City Council President Strom Peterson and Councilmember D.J. Wilson listen to applicants Tuesday night.

Please note date changes for testimony

The Edmonds City Council on Tuesday night interviewed four law firms that have applied to fill the role of City Attorney for the city. The incumbent firm, Ogden Murphy Wallace, was one of those interviewed.

The public will have an opportunity to offer specific comments on the choices before the council at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, before the City Council Committee Meetings, which start at 7 p.m. However, according to Mayor Mike Cooper, citizens can also offer testimony during the public comment period of any council meeting prior to Feb. 22, when the Council is scheduled to make its decision.
