Edmonds Station update: ticket vending machines, shelter being relocated

Sound Transit says that late this week, after the morning commute, the ticket vending machines and shelter at the Edmonds Sounder Station will be moved to their permanent location. Once relocated, commuters will find the ticket vending machines in the area south of the Amtrak depot.

In preparation for the move, crews will be pouring concrete to complete the platform area. In addition, technicians will be on hand to reconnect the ticket vending machines to new power and communications lines so they can be operating and ready for commuters the following day. After the machines are relocated, crews can form and pour concrete on the last section of passenger platform in the south lot area.

Last week and this week, construction crews have been grading the south parking area and will soon be ready to pave the entire area. New passenger shelters and canopy decking are also being painted and finished.
