Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 278 calls the week of Jan. 27-Feb.2: 224 emergency medical aid calls, 13 motor vehicle collisions, 12 fires, eight service calls, 17 automatic fire alarms and four natural gas leaks.
Jan. 28
ARSON. At 3:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire at a condominium in the 15400 block of 35th Avenue West north of Lynnwood. A smoke alarm woke the two residents who escaped without injury. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in the entry way and stairwell of the ground-floor unit of a two-story building. Damage is estimated at more than $30,000. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating this as arson.
PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY CAR. At 6:10 p.m., a pedestrian was hit by a car at 232nd Street Southwest and 56th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported the injured pedestrian to Swedish/Edmonds.
Jan. 30
COLLISION. At 2:18 p.m., A car crashed into parked cars in the 21800 block of Oak Way in Brier. Firefighters transported the driver to Swedish/Edmonds.
Feb. 1
COLLISION. At 10:36 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a three-car collision at Airport Road and Highway 99 south of Everett.
Feb. 2
COLLISION. At 6:57 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a multi-car collision at Highway 99 and Airport Road.
