Deputy Snohomish County Executive (and former Edmonds Mayor) Gary Haakenson took these moving photos Tuesday of the memorial service held in Everett for Washington State Reformatory officer Jayme Biendl, who was killed in the prison chapel Jan. 29. About 3,500 people gathered in Comcast Arena to celebrate the life of the 34-year-old Granite Falls woman.
