Senior Josh Jordan scored 28 points, fittingly on Senior Night, but the Warriors dropped their regular-season finale to Kamiak, 74-60, at home Wednesday.
The Warriors finished the season with an overall 9-11 record and will enter the Wesco South playoffs as the third seed. They play next Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in an away game vs. Monroe or Arlington, opponent to be determined.
The 6-foot-5 Jordan knocked down 20 points from regulation, two 3-pointers and two free throws. Fellow seniors Zack Berg, Joon Choi and Scott Douglas added 15, 8 and 5 points, respectively. While E-W trailed by just three points, 36-33, at half time, and tied the score at 42 with 5:19 left in the third period, the Knights’ defensive intensity in the half court proved too much for the Warriors, who also were plagued by turnovers and a lack of rebounding.
Before the game, all the senior players, their parents and other family members gathered on the court to be honored at the end of their high school basketball careers. Congratulations to the players and their parents:
Zach Berg (Dan & Tressa Berg)
Tyler Brudevold (Scott & MaryJo Brudevold)
Joon Choi (Jung Choi)
Scott Douglas (Matt & Tracie Douglas)
Josh Jordan (Jeff & Suzanne Jordan)
Braydon Nealey (Keith & Julie Nealey)
E-W scoring: Joon Choi 8, Josh Jordan 28, Scott Douglas 5, Zach Berg 15, Grant Pattison 1, Devin Joseph 2, Alex Hull 1.
